Amazon MGM’s “Project Hail Mary” scored an impressive second weekend at theaters, grossing an estimated $54.5 million at domestic theaters and another $54.1 million at international theaters—pushing it past the $300 million mark globally to make it the best performing Hollywood film released in 2026 so far.
Project Hail Mary,” based on Andy Weir’s 2021 sci-fi novel by the same name, has now grossed over $164.3 million at domestic theaters, according to early estimates reported by the Hollywood trade publications, and has already posted $300.8 million when factoring in international theaters.
